Hi, my name is Liz Hixson and I’m the Nonprofit Optimizer.
I have a B.A. in Corporate Communications and an M.S. in Nonprofit Management. I started working in the nonprofit sector almost a decade ago. I’ve had a variety of experiences from leading a team that dealt with the logistics of week-long mission trips for youth across the country, to working at a homeless shelter, and now helping underserved students become stronger and more confident readers.
I have a passion for the nonprofit sector and for doing things with excellence. Unfortunately, due to lack of resources, expertise, and staff, these two things don’t necessarily go hand in hand.
My desire is to empower small nonprofits with practical tips, resources, and examples so that they can do more with less.
